SPRING CAR CAMP: ZION NATIONAL PARK

With the help of sunny skies and temperatures in the upper seventies, the club's spring car camp was a big success. Seventeen of us enjoyed a delightful weekend in the Zion National Park area of Southern Utah. Highlights of the trip included a spectacular hike to the top of Angel's Landing, where club president Randy donned his angel wings, posed on the highest point of the landing, and was photographed by tourists from around the world.

The potluck dinner was also spectacular, including a large variety of many delicious treats and more food than we could possibly eat.

HARRIS WASH BACKPACKING TRIP

Harris Wash is one of the closely guarded secrets of the Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument. Come join the LHC on this backpacking trip to explore this place of amazing beauty. We will leave Friday, April 27 and return Sunday, April 29. This will be a backpacking trip, which means that it is essential to bring the proper equipment and be prepared for all sorts of weather.

Call Randy at 532-8447 to register for the trip and to obtain a packet of detailed instructions that includes directions to the trailhead.

NEW and Improved! MONTHLY PLANNING MEETINGS:

We now meet on the first Monday of the month (April 2 this month) to plan future club activities and to conduct other club business. We meet at 7:30 PM at the Gay and Lesbian Community Center at 361 North 300 West. Everyone is welcome.
