TRIP REPORT – BRYCE CANYON CAR CAMP

Thursday, July 11 through Sunday, July 14

Bryce Canyon was not only a natural wonder of multicolor flames cast in stone but a shopper's paradise, a camping wonderland complete with Old Salty train, and a visual fantasy of 8 flavors of international eye candy for the discriminating gay male!

Ruby's Inn accommodated our group with a beautiful campsite, a swimming pool, hot tub, and enjoyable 80-degree weather.  At $4.50 per person per night, we swam in the lap of luxury as everyone else sweltered in Salt Lake City.  Showers were also included.

Even though the group was relatively small, all the members had a wonderful time hiking through the labyrinths of lava lamp spires, Martian pinnacles, and pine encrusted narrows.  Some of the most beautiful and contorted trees that this bonsai enthusiast has ever seen were located within the park.  Such grand vistas, astounding rock formations, and magnificent horizons should not be missed!

The only tragedy was the fact that the Lambda Hiking Club president's gay baseball cap was left on the shuttle bus and swiped by someone who did not know what the little rainbow triangle REALLY meant!  Cursed be that thief with an identity better than he deserves!
