Celebrate Earth Day at Naturepalooza with hikes, food, live music, activities and fun for all ages | Kristen Walter

Looking for a fun and free way to celebrate Earth Day with your kids? Come discover Naturepalooza on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education.

Naturepalooza is an annual event hosted by the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education to celebrate Earth Day. It is full of fun “nature-based” activities that will appeal to children and adults alike.

This year’s event will feature a variety of activities, including:

  • nature hikes
  • story time
  • concert with Billy Jonas Band
  • craft and activity tables
  • exploring the pond
  • a game hike with a card game called “AquaMarooned”.
  • and more!

The festivities are expected to start at 10 a.m. and end around 2 p.m.

During this year’s Natruepaloza event, the Schuylkill Center will unveil their new “Restoration Station Loop”, a self-guided educational hike along their trails. Visitors are welcome and encouraged to experience the new attraction.

There will also be a variety of food trucks at the event offering drinks and snacks.

The event is free, but registration is required. You can register on the Schuylkill Center website. The event location is at 8480 Hagy’s Mill Road in Philadelphia.
