Vijay Deverakonda REVEALS that Liger will also have an overseas programme: venue uncertain

Southern star Vijay Deverakonda is set to make his Bollywood debut with Puri Jagannadh directed the movie Liger alongside Ananya Panday. Vijay has a huge fanbase in Mumbai. With the multilingual Liger, he will mark his foray into Hindi cinema. The Southern star has been working on the next film for quite some time now. Last March, the team had already started working on it, but the production of Karan Johar, Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur stopped due to the coronavirus epidemic.

Last month, with renewed energy, the team returned to work in Mumbai. Now, in a recent interview with Mid-Day, Vijay Deverakonda has revealed his feelings on getting back to work post-pandemic, Liger’s filming location and more. Talking about returning to work after a 10-month break, Vijay said that before the pandemic he worked such long hours that he used to wait impatiently to pack his bags so he could go home and to sleep. But when he returned to work last month, he just wanted to be on set. “On the first day, I wanted the shooting to continue,” he added.

He also said that they filmed some parts in Mumbai followed by a song in Goa. Liger’s team is currently on a hiatus as the production team is creating a set at Film City in Goregaon for the upcoming program. Now the actor has revealed that they will also have an overseas program. “The location is still uncertain; we were considering Europe initially but now Abu Dhabi is an option, added the South Star.

In the upcoming film, star Arjun Reddy will play the role of a boxer. When asked how he maintained his ripped physique throughout the lockdown; he said he trained every day during the lockdown. “Initially, we thought that the confinement would end in three months; so we assumed it would be six months,” he added. Later, Vijay said that the uncertainty helped him to be ready for filming.

Speaking about the responsibility of revising his Hindi for Liger, the actor said he grew up in Hyderabad where everyone spoke a bit of Hindi so articulating Hindi dialogues was not too difficult for him. He also said his character in Liger gave him the opportunity to play with language.
