Looks like Lizzo might have yet another hit on her hands. On June 22, the “About Damn Time” singer made a surprise appearance on Kornbread’s Night of 1,000 Lizzos tribute show in West Hollywood. There, Lizzo took advantage of the party environment created in her honor and returned the favor by releasing her new track “Everybody’s Gay.”

Onstage at the event — and dressed as her drag character, Amazonia Prime — Lizzo reminisced about ‘Drag Race’ stars like Jaida Essence Hall, Daya Betty, Heidi N Closet and June Jambalaya as she performed the new song – which she has confirmed will appear on her upcoming album, “Special”. “[It’s about] live your best life, arrive, dance and have fun, damn it,” she told the song’s audience.

Night of 1,000 Lizzos consisted of an evening of Lizzo-inspired sets, paying homage to the singer (who Kornbread referred to as “a rising local queen”) on Wednesday night. “When you do a ‘Night of 1000’ diva, you don’t understand what it means to be that diva,” Lizzo added at the event. “I’ve been a diva ever since I came out of the fucking belly, bitch…to come to this place and feel the love of the LGBTQIA+ community – by the way, since day one we’ve been walking together. That means so, so much for me.

The following day, Lizzo continued to rave about the Kornbread festivities on Instagram, sharing footage of her appearance in a post captioned, “You don’t understand…I WAS LIVING MY LIPSYNC DREAM LAST NIGHT! Thank you @kornbreadthesnack for hosting such a great night of 1000 LIZZOS. I felt all the love and appreciation (needed!) to all the queens.. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

Lizzo and Kornbread formed a bond when the pop singer guest judged on “Drag Race” Season 14 earlier this year, and it appears they’ve grown closer since then. Kornbread even posted a few photos of the two from Night of 1,000 Lizzos via Instagram. “IT’S ABOUT THE FUTURE TIME!” the Kornbread caption began. “A Night of 1000 Lizzos was a hit! @lizzobeeating stepped into our shoes and performed a drag performance. Sang live. And dropped a new song from their album. Baby tonight was epic!”

Lizzo has yet to confirm whether or not she will release “Everybody’s Gay” ahead of her album, but the full project is set to drop on July 15. Check out a clip of her appearance in the upcoming Night of 1,000 Lizzos.
