Anyone familiar with Reese Witherspoon’s acting career will likely highlight “Wild” as one of the actress’ best films.
The 2014 film is an adaptation of the best-selling memoir Wild: From Loss to Discovery on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed. Reese Witherspoon takes on the role of Cheryl as she embarks on a 1,100 mile solo hike on the Pacific Crest Trail.
The Oscar-nominated film not only inspired a legion of hikers into what is now known as the “Wild Effect,” but seems to have made a lasting impression on Reese herself.
On Tuesday, the 46-year-old actress shared a selfie on her Instagram Story with the caption, “Ready for the hike!”
The “Morning Show” star can be seen wearing a red crop top, matching red leggings and a plaid hiking bag from The Great + Eddie Bauer.
Thanking The Great for the “awesome gear,” Reese was all smiles as she sported the limited-edition collaboration between the two brands.
In the photo, Reese is wearing The Hiking Tank in Chilli Red. A versatile intermediate between a bra and a tank top, this sleeveless style is made from a quick-drying stretch fabric and falls just below the bust line. It comes in three pretty designs, including vintage flowers and sizes XS to 3X.
